Q & A

What is the dress code?

Smart casual attire - we want you to be comfortable at our wedding. For men we suggest long or short-sleeved shirts paired with shorts or trousers. For women - you already know....! Hopefully the weather will play ball and it should be warm and sunny. Since we will be outside bug spray may come in handy and you will need footwear that is suitable for walking on a wharf/grass.

How do we get to Otehei Bay?

The Otehei Bay ferry (Explore/Fullers) will depart from Paihia at 5 pm and Russell at 5.10 pm. We recommend getting to the wharf 15 minutes prior to departure. You can find more information on the Schedule page of this website.

Do I need to buy a ferry ticket?

There is no need to buy a ferry ticket. Your name will be checked off on a list and you will be given a wrist band on boarding the ferry.

Is there a gift registry?

There is no gift registry, your presence at our wedding is the only gift we need.

What is happening on Sunday, the day after the wedding?

We would love you to join us on Sunday for a Hole in the Rock cruise on Te Papahu (Explore ferry) departing Paihia at 10.30 am and Russell at 10.40 am. The trip will terminate Otehei Bay at 1.15 or alternatively there will be an optional stop off at Moturua Island for a swim/walk/sausage sizzle. Pax (ferry) will then transfer you back to Paihia/Russell on the 1.45am, 4.15pm or 5.45pm from Otehei Bay (see the "Schedule" page for further details). Remember to bring a hat, sunscreen, and togs and a towel if you'd like a swim.
